Making the Headlines

The 2013 edition of the annual National Pastors’ Conference of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, aimed at capacity-building, has ended at the Apostolic Conference and Retreat Centre at Frafraha, near Accra on Friday, 17th May 2013 on the theme, ‘The leading of the mighty God’, with a call on the ascension ministers to work diligently for the preservation of the highly revered teachings and practices of the church.

A colourful retirement and appreciation service has been held in honour of Apostle Kodwo Baiden Denson, the immediate-past General Secretary of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, at the Rev. S. L. Adotey Memorial Temple in Accra on Sunday, 28th April, 2013. Fiifi Abaka-Sam & patience Amenu report.

The National Management of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, as part of its nationwide tour to educate all stakeholders of the church at the various Areas to be abreast with the corporate Vision 2015 of the church, has interacted with the Asante Akyem Area leaders at the Konongo Central Assembly on Saturday, 20th April, 2013 under the theme ‘Threading on your higher places’ (Habakkuk 3:19).

The National Management of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, in its quest to encourage all the various levels of the church to speed up their infrastructural development projects in the church, has taken management decision to offer financial support to the constructional projects of all levels of the church as when funds would be available and where genuine needs arise.

Reverend Dr. Joyce Aryee, Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministry and the immediate-past Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, has advised Pastors' wives to eschew unforgiving attitude and rather make forgiveness a priority in life, since unforgiveness can hinder the development of their personal lives and their husband's ministries.

The 78th Ordinary Session of the National Council has ended at the Apostolic Resource Conference and Retreat Centre, Fafraha on Friday 7th March 2013.
The meeting was attended by forty nine Apostles and invited Prophets.

Also in attendance were the U. K Mission Field Superintendent, Apostle J. K Amudzi and Apostle Dr. Kwabena Akufo, Worcester District Apostle from the USA Field.

A National Consultative Meeting was also held at the same venue from 27th February through 1st March 2013. This meeting, which embraced identifiable stakeholders from Ghana, U.S.A, U.K. and Canada Mission Fields, discussed relevant issues concerning the growth and development of the Church.

In its quest to honour the past heroes of the church, the National Council of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, has christened certain central assemblies of the church after its past Presidents who have worked assiduously to promote the apostolic vision, principles and practices in the nation.
