TAC-GH BIDS ELDER S.K AMPIAH FAREWELL

It was a rare sight to witness a tear fall compared to the splendid dance performance of the melodies of numerous compositions by the late Elder Samuel Kofi Ampiah. This was the chosen way for TAC-GH and the Family of Elder S. K. Ampiah to bid farewell to the revered icon upon his return to his Maker.

As should have been the norm with every Christian funeral, the service was characterized by expressions of gratitude for the gift of Elder S. K. Ampiah, celebration of his contributions to the Kingdom, and contemplation of how every Christian should await the day when they are called home.

Soul Winners, the University of Winneba Choir, TAC-GH Darkuman District Choir, and Carl Clottey with the Kaneshie District Choir took turns performing selected songs written and composed by Eld. Ampiah in honour of the influential icon.

Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, drawing from the life of late Ampiah, encouraged the Congregation to use their talents to serve God selflessly, emphasizing that by utilizing his talents to serve God, Ampiah was then abundantly taken care of by God. The President of TAC-GH themed his sermon on one of Elder Ampiah’s works, revealing the importance of an exemplified Christian lifestyle in transforming individuals and the nation.

Tributes highlighting the impactful life of Ampiah were shared by his family, Elder Emmanuel Ackaah, the sole surviving member of his band, and the General Headquarters of The Apostolic Church-Ghana.

The music maestro, an icon who spread the message of Christ and His kingdom through his songs and lifestyle, was laid to rest in the Osu cemetery.
