Madam Opoku Kyeremeh, a principal midwifery  officer, affectionately known as “Eduma wura”, a member of The Apostolic Church-Ghana Dumasua Local Assembly, has been crowned the Overall Outstanding Staff of the Ghana Health Service at a colourful Excellence Awards night in Accra.

This accolade caps a remarkable year for Madam Kyeremeh, who also won three (3) other national awards in the health sector:

  • Regional Winner (International Day of the Midwife 2024) held in Koforidua in May.
  • Deprived Area Category (Bono Region) awarded in Takoradi in November.
  • Overall Best CHPS Compound Concept, 2024,

showcasing her innovative contributions to healthcare delivery.

Her illustrious 34-year career in the public health sector has been dedicated to serving underserved communities, in the Western Region, including Sefwi Essem and now Dumasua, in the Bono Region where her commitment and compassion have left an indelible impact.

Beyond her professional achievements, Madam Kyeremeh is a devoted Sunday School teacher, finding joy in nurturing children in the Word of God. “It is my delight to raise children with God’s Word and shape their lives for society,” she shared, adding that serving both the church and the community has been her greatest pride. Grateful for this recognition, she thanked God and the spiritual and secular leaders she has served under.

On behalf of the Leadership, the Council of Apostles and Prophets, Management, and the entire Apostolic fraternity, we extend our warmest congratulations to Madam Vivian Opoku Kyeremeh. May the Lord who has brought you this far continue to empower you for even greater works through the Holy Spirit.
