AMWF Launches Ladies in Missions Initiative

Home / News / AMWF Launches Ladies in Missions Initiative

The Ascension Ministers’ Wives Fellowship (AMWF) officially launched the Ladies in Missions initiative on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at The Apostolic Church-Ghana Kaneshie Central Temple during their 9th Fire Conference. This groundbreaking initiative is designed to empower minister’s wives across the church to engage in charity work alongside evangelism, particularly in rural communities, as part of the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

The Ladies in Missions vision began in 2022 in Abutia Kloe, a community in the Volta Region, with a profound impact. Through their dedication, the initiative successfully established a church in the community, providing both spiritual and social transformation, speaking at the launch, Lady Josephine D. Ami-Narh, First Lady of The Apostolic Church-Ghana and team lead for AMWF, highlighted the initiative’s evolution.

What began as AMWF in Abutia Kloe has now birthed a movement spreading across various places. Our heart’s cry is for people to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus,” she stated. She further emphasized that the mission is to identify the gaps in outreach efforts and bridge them by demonstrating Christ’s compassion through community development, medical outreaches, evangelism, distribution of food and clothing, and possibly the construction of worship centers.

With a solid foundation in Abutia Kloe, it is set to expand its reach to Afram Plains in the Eastern Region and eventually across the country. The initiative embodies the true essence of the Great Commission by preaching the gospel and meeting the physical and some social needs of the communities they serve.

Apostle Seth Gakpetor, Kaneshie Area Apostle, who officially launched the initiative, commended AMWF for their vision and commitment. He acknowledged that Ladies in Missions aligns perfectly with the church’s mission to spread the gospel globally and fulfill the mission mandate of making disciples of all nations

The launch of Ladies in Missions marks a significant milestone in The Apostolic Church-Ghana’s efforts to integrate evangelism with community transformation. As the initiative gathers momentum, it is expected to ignite a wave of revival and development in various rural areas, reinforcing the church’s mission to belt the globe with the gospel, starting from our communities
