THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY (ACTS) HOLDS 3RD MATRICULATION

The Apostolic Church Theological Seminary has held its 3rd Matriculation ceremony at Kumasi with a call from the Chancellor, Aps. Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, to student ministers to uphold the values of integrity, competence, and service in high esteem.

Addressing matriculants on the motto of the institution, The Chancellor, Aps. Dr. Ami-Narh said that, “today’s church is going through a suffocating prodigal son experience because of the lack of men of integrity in the pulpit”. He quoted Isaiah 59:14 -15 to buttress his point, adding, “to train leaders without emphasizing integrity is our generation’s catastrophe”. He said, at ACTS we believe in the importance of intelligence and knowledge, but we put integrity first.

On competence, the Chancellor maintained that putting square pegs in around holes would defeat God’s great promises to the church and that “We must use God’s men, to do God’s work, God’s way” since competence is one of the essential ingredients for success and excellence. He emphasized that, “we are not here to build an ‘Apostolic Tower of Babel’, but seek to unearth what God has given, direct and motivate it to achieve ‘Bible Day’ impact, as the maker purposed it to be”.

The Chancellor, who is the President of The Apostolic Church-Ghana said, “Living for others is a rule of nature, for life is about service and service is about sacrifice”. Therefore, students of ACTS would be trained to emulate Jesus’ servant-leadership style, as their passion while eschewing every form of selfish ambition.

In his address Aps. Dr. Aaron commended the Governing Council, Management and stakeholders of the seminary for the impressive rate of restructuring transformation and infrastructural development and urge them to live up to the call and vision of ACTS.
